Welcome to the 29th annual meetings of the Human Behavior and Evolution Society! HBES is the premier international organization for the study of evolution and human behavior. The membership includes researchers from a range of disciplines in the social, behavioral, and biological sciences.
The 29th annual conferences will be held May 31st to June 3rd, 2017 on the Boise State University Campus. The conference will be immediately followed by the 6th summer institute of the International Society for Human Ethology from June 4th – June 7th, 2017. We will also be hosting a pre-conference workshop on Connecting Minds in Social Neuroendocrinology and Evolution. Popular events like the Student Lunch and Women of HBES will continue, along with a variety of social events included in the low price for early registration. HBES has also generously offered to provide registration and housing free of charge to student members who register before the early registration deadline. On campus dormitories as well as a variety of hotel options near campus and downtown are provided on our accommodations page. We look forward to seeing you in beautiful Boise, recently called one of America’s best kept secrets.
For students to take advantage of HBES sponsorship for free registration and coverage of dormitory accommodation expenses, you must register by the early registration deadline.
